About me
Hope Hooton, host of the Voices Against Filicide podcast, and Brandi Morey Pols, founder of The Rowan Project, have joined forces to raise awareness and advocate for meaningful reform in child safety and family court systems in response to filicide. Hope lost her two children, Alec and Lydia, in May 2024 in Arizona at the hands of their father. Just months later, in August 2024, Brandi lost her son, Rowan, in Michigan in an act of filicide committed by his biological father. United by unimaginable loss and a shared mission, both women have transformed their grief into action. Together, they have become powerful legacy lawmakers, each helping to create legislation in honor of their children with the goal of strengthening court protections and preventing future tragedies. Through advocacy, public speaking, and education, Hope and Brandi work to raise awareness, challenge systemic failures, and empower communities to better protect children. They are scheduled to speak at multiple events and conferences throughout 2026 and 2027, sharing their stories and calling for urgent reform. For more information, please visit the website.
