Detective Alyson Dupouy has served with the Montgomery County Police Department for over 22 years, including 18 in investigative roles. Her experience spans gang investigations, human trafficking, commercial robbery, missing people, sexual assault cases, and homicides. She is currently assigned to the Cold Case and Missing Persons Unit and serves on the Human Remains Recovery Team. Detective Dupouy has contributed to hundreds of complex investigations and has received honors from the Mid Atlantic Association of Women in Law Enforcement, the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of Virginia, the Metropolitan Police Department, and multiple MCPD commendations. Detective Dupouy assisted in the Leslie Preer cold case homicide that was recently featured on episodes of ABC’s 20/20, NBC’s Dateline, and Law&Crime’s Prime Crime with Jesse Weber. Her work has also been featured on the podcast American Nightmares : Season 3 “Unknown Subject” with Paul Wagner, for the multi-jurisdictional investigation of the Potomac River Rapist cold case.
