Ashton Packe spent 23 years in Nevada law enforcement and retired from the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department as a Detective Sergeant in August 2021. Over the course of his career, he served in and supervised a wide range of assignments, including uniformed patrol, criminal investigations, undercover operations, and counterterrorism operations with an emphasis on human intelligence.
He served for three years as a Task Force Officer on the FBI’s Joint Terrorism Task Force, where he investigated and supervised both international and domestic terrorism cases. He was also assigned to the Department of Homeland Security’s National Operations Center in Washington, D.C.
Packe has instructed hundreds of law enforcement officers across the United States and internationally on behalf of the U.S. Department of State, teaching on counterterrorism, violent extremism, community engagement and outreach, human intelligence operations, and leadership principles. He served as a strike team leader during the 1 October attack in Las Vegas.
He is the owner of Vanguard Intelligence Group, a private investigations and security consulting firm based in Las Vegas, NV.
