Mark Geragos is a trial lawyer internationally known for both his reputation in the Courtroom and in the public arena. More 25 years ago he vaulted into the National eye with back-to-back State and Federal Court jury trial acquittals in California and against the Independent Whitewater Counsel. Over his career, Geragos has won countless Federal and State cases in both the criminal and civil arena. He has a Hall of Fame of high-profile clients, including the Menendez Brothers who he successfully this year won their resentencing against all odds.
He was the architect of the Sean P Diddy stunning acquittals in July and just last year won a 32-million-dollar verdict in Federal Court for a Police killing of a 17-year-old young man. He has represented former heavyweight champion Mike Tyson, MMA star Cain Velasquez UFC fighter Cain Velasquez, civil rights activist and former Super Bowl NFL quarterback Colin Kaepernick, Singer Chris Brown, First Brother Roger Clinton, and President Joe Biden’s son, Hunter Biden. Several years ago, Geragos helmed two consecutive dismissals of murder charges proving flawed eyewitness identification, with his firm later winning a $1.7 million verdict from the City of Glendale for false arrest.
Just last week he won the dismissal of murder charges and freedom for a young man who Geragos proved acted in self-defense. He was immensely proud to co-counsel with Glendale High Graduate Brian Kabateck in the groundbreaking Federal Class Action Lawsuits against New York Life Insurance and AXA Corporation, achieving a $37.5 million settlement for insurance policies issued during the Armenian Genocide by the Ottoman Empire.
Geragos’s accomplishments have earned him numerous accolades and one of the few living members to be inducted in the National Trial Lawyers Hall of Fame. He is the only attorney besides Johnnie Cochran to be named “Lawyer of the Year” in both Criminal and Civil arenas. California Law Business Magazine ranked him among the “100 Most Influential Attorneys in California” for three consecutive years, and he has been named a Los Angeles’ Super Lawyers for 20 years in a row. His $59 million jury verdict against Pfizer Corporation was ranked among the “Top Ten Verdicts in California” and “Top Fifty Verdicts in the United States” by the National Law Journal.
Geragos’s clientele over the years has included a wide array of public figures. His extensive experience with prominent personalities across diverse fields cements his reputation as one of the nation’s leading attorneys for high-stakes legal representation. Geragos frequently appears as a legal commentator on major networks, contributing to programs like the Today Show, The Megyn Kelly Show, Banfield, Good Morning America, Dateline NBC, and iconic shows such as 60 Minutes, and 48 Hours. He hasalso lectured widely on the intersection of media and law and has authored articles in
multiple law review journals.
In addition to his legal work, Geragos co-hosts two immensely popular podcasts. The Reasonable Doubt podcast, where he offers insights into high-profile legal cases, current events, and provides expert analysis on the intersection of law, media, and society—making complex legal issues accessible and engaging for a broad audience and he is cohost of the 2 Angry Men Podcast with TMZ founder and his longtime friend Harvey Levin.
Geragos attended Haverford College and earned his Juris Doctor from Loyola Law School. A Los Angeles native, he continues to lead Geragos & Geragos, building upon a legacy of legal advocacy and public service on behalf of his diverse and often high-profile clientele.
