Micah Ware, an enrolled member of the Kiowa Tribe of Oklahoma, has dedicated his 23‑year law enforcement career to serving Indian Country. Born and raised in Oklahoma, he currently serves as a Supervisory Special Agent-Deputy Unit Chief with the Bureau of Indian Affairs, Office of Justice Services, Missing and Murdered Unit.
Ware has held key roles across federal, tribal, and state agencies, including patrol officer, Training Sergeant-Instructor at the U.S. Indian Police Academy at the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center (FLETC), Special Agent, Chief of Police and his current role as the MMU Deputy Unit Chief. He is recognized for developing the first BIA‑BIE Youth Indian Police Academy and for leading complex major‑crime investigations across multiple jurisdictions.
A U.S. Army veteran, Ware is known for his ethical leadership, strong interagency partnerships, and unwavering commitment to protecting Tribal communities and strengthening justice systems throughout Indian Country.
