Ninette Toosbuy spent nearly 25 years with the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) as a detective, where she led a sex crimes unit. A recognized Subject Matter Expert in investigative interviewing, Ninette spearheaded the reform of the LAPD’s interviewing and interrogation curriculum. She now teaches cutting-edge, Science-Based Interviewing (SBI) to law enforcement agencies across the United States and also provides specialized training for sexual assault investigators that emphasizes effective communication and interviewing techniques. In addition to her work with law enforcement, Ninette is a licensed private investigator and consultant, providing expert investigative services to law firms and private businesses involved in complex criminal and civil litigation.
