About me
Michael “Schlep” is a social media creator and child safety advocate known for exposing online predators targeting minors on child gaming platforms like Roblox. With more than 2 million followers on YouTube, he has built a reputation for confronting exploitation in digital spaces — and bringing public attention to the systems that allow it.
Schlep’s advocacy is deeply personal. As a teenager, he was groomed on Roblox by a prominent developer — an experience that would later shape his mission. He first joined the platform at just 8-years-old, quickly becoming immersed in the online community. By age 10, he was representing Roblox at STEM events across Southern California. As a young creator, he built a following of more than 150 thousand users through his rollercoaster-themed content on his former channel, Maliboomer.
As Schlep’s platform grew, so did the number of young users reaching out to him with their own stories of grooming, sexual abuse, and exploitation on Roblox. What began as a personal reckoning evolved into a public mission. He shifted his focus to investigating and exposing alleged predators, using his current YouTube channel, Schlep, to identify and confront individuals targeting minors online.
In August 2025, after reporting multiple predators on Roblox, Schlep was issued a cease-and-desist letter from the company and was banned from the platform. He publicly shared his experience in a video that quickly went viral, igniting widespread debate about platform responsibility and user safety across the country.
Schlep’s work and story have been featured in outlets including The Washington Post, Forbes, Wired, Dr. Phil, The Guardian, and The Shawn Ryan Show. He has also been referenced in litigation brought by state attorneys general involving Roblox, including a lawsuit filed by the Louisiana Attorney General.
At CrimeCon, Schlep brings a firsthand perspective to the conversation around online exploitation, platform accountability, and the ongoing legal battles surrounding Roblox —highlighting both the risks facing young users and the urgent need for systemic change.
